Course Overview

SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) training is a course that teaches individuals how to monitor and manage the performance and availability of applications, services, and infrastructure in an enterprise environment using the SCOM platform. The training covers topics such as installation, configuration, management packs, alerting, and reporting.

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  3. Navigate the Operations Manager Console and Web Console.
  4. Perform both automated and manual agent installation on managed systems.
  5. Import and export management packs.
  6. Configure Rules, Events, Monitors and Tasks.
  7. Configure Reporting and create reports.
  8. Monitor workstations and servers using Agentless Monitoring and Agentless Exception Monitoring.
  9. Configure and manage Audit Collection Services.
  10. Create Synthetic Transactions.
  11. Create Distributed Applications.
  12. Multi-home an agent.
  13. Configure a Gateway server for monitoring untrusted environments.
  14. Configure communication between management groups.
  15. Migrate from Operations Manager 2007 to 2012 Operations Manager.

Pre-requisite

SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) 2012 training provides participants with the knowledge and skills to install and configure System Center 2012 Operations Manager. In addition this course will prepare the participants for managing their 2012 Operations Manager infrastructure.
