Course Overview

This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to configure and manage a Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager site and its associated site systems in the role of Configuration Manager administrators.

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  1. Manage the Configuration Manager client.
  2. Manage inventory and software metering.
  3. Query and report data.
  4. Manage software deployments by using packages and programs.
  5. Create and deploy applications.
  6. Manage application deployment.
  7. Deploy and manage software updates.
  8. Implement System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection.
  9. Deploy operating systems by using System Center 2012 Configuration Manager.
  10. Manage compliance settings on devices.
  11. Manage mobile devices.
  12. Configure Wake On LAN, power management, and Remote Control.ators.

Pre-requisite

  1. Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and Domain Name System (DNS).
  2. Active Directory principles and management.
  3. Windows Server management including Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
  4. Microsoft Windows client fundamentals.
  5. Deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting for Windows-based personal computers.
  6. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 including Reporting Services.
  7. Basic Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts.
  8. Desired: Have a base-level understanding of System Center Configuration Manager 2007.
