Course Overview

Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies (AZ-300) certification training focuses on the skills required for designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure, including architecture, storage, compute, security, and network. The certification demonstrates expertise in cloud-based solutions and familiarity with Azure services and tools.

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • ● Managing Azure Subscriptions and Resources
  •
  • ● Evaluating and Performing Server Migration to Azure
  •
  • ● Design and Connectivity Patterns
  •
  • ● Use shell commands to create an App Service Web App
  •
  • ● How to configure a message-based integration architecture

Pre-requisite

  1. Proficient in across various aspects of IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data management, budgeting, and governance
  2. This role requires managing how decisions in each area affect an overall solution.

Duration

5 days

Course Outline

  1. Azure monitoring capabilities using Azure alerts, Azure activity logs, and Log Analytics.
  2. Query, analyze, and interpret the data viewed in Log Analytics.
  1. Azure storage accounts, data replication
  2. How to use Azure Storage Explorer, and monitor storage
  1. Create Virtual Machines (VM)s within the Azure Portal
  2. Create Virtual Machines (VM)s using Azure PowerShell
  3. Create Virtual Machines (VM)s using ARM templates
  4. Deploy Linux Virtual Machines (VM)s
  5. Monitor Virtual Machines (VM)s Additionally
  6. Protect data using backups at regular intervals, whether by snapshot, Azure Backup, or Azure Site Recovery.
  1. Network routing using routing tables and algorithms
  2. Inter-site connectivity using VNet-to-VNet connections and VPNs
  3. Virtual network peering for regional and global considerations
  4. Gateway transit
  1. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  2. built-in roles
  3. Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR)
  4. authentication methods for password reset
  1. Migrating workloads to a new environment, whether it be another datacenter, or to a public cloud, and setting clear goals for the migration
  2. Goals include both technology-focused and business-focused goals for migrations, and the benefits to an organization’s business
  3. Activities include components of the Azure migration process: creating a project, creating a collector, assessing readiness, and estimating costs. Additionally, you will receive and overview of Azure Site Recovery (ASR) that includes and end-to-end scenarios
  1. Deploying Web Apps
  2. Managing Web Apps
  3. App Service Security
  4. Serverless Computing Concepts
  5. Managing Event Grid
  6. Managing Logic App

  1. Azure Load Balancer
  2. Azure Application Gateway
  3. o Site-to-Site VPN Connections As well as an overview of ExpressRoute which allows companies to extend on-premises networks into the Microsoft cloud over a dedicated private connection facilitated by a connectivity provider
  1. Azure AD Identity Protection
  2. Azure Domains and Tenants
  3. Azure Users and Groups
  4. Azure Roles As well as an overview of Azure AD integration options that focuses on Azure AD Connect to integrate on-premises directories with Azure Active Directory
  1. Azure Architecture Center
  2. Cloud design patterns
  3. Competing consumers pattern
  4. Cache-aside pattern As well as sharding patterns to divide a data store into horizontal partitions, or shards. Each shard has the same schema but holds its own distinct subset of the data.
  1. Site-to-site connectivity
  2. Point-to-site connectivity
  3. Combining site-to-site and point-to-site connectivity
  4. Virtual network–to–virtual network connectivity As well as connecting across cloud providers for failover, backup, or even migration between providers such as AWS
  1. DTUs – Azure SQL Database
  2. RUs – Azure Cosmos DB
  3. Structured and unstructured data
  4. Using structured data stores
  1. Use shell commands to create an App Service Web App
  2. Create Background Tasks
  3. Use Swagger to document an API
  1. Create a Reliable Actors app
  2. Hands-on with Reliable collections
  1. Understand the Azure Container Registry
  2. Use Azure Container instances
  1. Implementing large-scale, parallel, and high-performance apps using batches
  2. HPC using Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines
  3. Implementing resilient apps by using queues As well as, implementing code to address application events by using webhooks. Implementing a webhook gives an external resource a URL for an application. The external resource then issues an HTTP request to that URL whenever a change is made that requires the application to take an action.
  1. Configure an app or service to send emails
  2. Configure an event publish and subscribe model
  3. Configure the Azure Relay service
  4. Configure apps and services with Microsoft Graph
  1. Implement parallelism, multithreading, and processing
  2. Implement Azure Functions and Azure Logic Apps
  3. Implement interfaces for storage or data access
  4. Implement appropriate asynchronous computing models
  5. Implement autoscaling rules and patterns
  1. Implementing autoscaling rules and patterns
  2. Implementing code that addresses singleton application instances
  3. Implementing code that addresses a transient state
  1. Developing Solutions using Computer Vision
  2. Developing solutions using Bing Web Search
  3. Developing solutions using Custom Speech Service
  4. Developing solutions using QnA Maker
