Course Overview

HBase is an open-source database by Apache that is modelled on Google’s Bigtable. Written in Java, it focuses on scalability and random data access with deep analytical abilities. With our HBase certification training, you gain a deep understanding of the NoSQL database architecture, the essentials of HBase and the important components that make it tick. Learn the business use cases of HBase and how its data modelling can be leveraged to enable fast data access in an unstructured big data environment. In our Cloudlabs, with easy to follow step-by-step instructions, you learn how to install HBase and integrate it with Hive. With help from our expert trainer, practice performing data definition and manipulation operations on the database. You also learn how to manage file operations in a virtual machine.

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand and appreciate the business use cases and architecture of a NoSQL database
  2. Gain a deep understanding of the core concepts and data modelling of HBase
  3. Master HBase Architecture and the interplay of important components of the HBase cluster
  4. Conduct basic and advanced database operations using HBase Shell and API
  5. Integrate HBase with Hive
  6. Insert, load and retrieve data from the HBase database
  7. Load files using the file load utility
