Analyzing Data with Power BI

Course Overview

The main purpose of Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Microsoft Power BI certification training is to give students a good understanding of data analysis with Power BI. The course includes creating visualizations, the Power BI Service, and the Power BI Mobile App.

 

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  1. Perform Power BI desktop data transformation.
  2. Describe Power BI desktop modelling.
  3. Create a Power BI desktop visualization.
  4. Implement the Power BI service.
  5. Describe how to connect to Excel data.
  6. Describe how to collaborate with Power BI data.
  7. Connect directly to data stores.
  8. Describe the Power BI developer API.
  9. Describe the Power BI mobile app.
 

Pre-requisite

  1. Excellent knowledge of relational databases and reporting.
  2. Some basic knowledge of data warehouse schema topology (including star and snowflake schemas).
  3. Some exposure to basic programming constructs (such as looping and branching).
  4. An awareness of key business priorities such as revenue, profitability, and financial accounting is desirable.
  5. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications – particularly Excel.
