Course Overview

The Alexa Skill Builder course teaches individuals how to design, build, and publish custom voice-enabled applications, also known as “Skills,” using Amazon Alexa. Participants will learn how to use Alexa’s development platform, including the Alexa Skills Kit (ASK) and Amazon Lambda, to create interactive and engaging Skills for a variety of use cases. The course covers topics such as voice user interface design, skill deployment, and monetization.

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  1. Navigate the logistics of the examination process
  2. Understand the exam structure and question types
  3. Identify how questions relate to Alexa skill building
  4. Interpret the concepts being tested by an exam question
  5. Properly allocate your time spent studying for the domains represented in the AWS Alexa Specialty exam

Pre-requisite

  1. Hands-on experience building Alexa skills using the Alexa Skills Kit, including skills that incorporate services from the AWS cloud
  2. Proficiency with a programming language (example: Node.js, JavaScript, Python)
